Brilliant player , brilliant manager .... not many you can say that about.
Legend.
Should have won the World Cup in 1974 & 1978.
Up against the W Germans away the Dutch got carried away with wanting to humiliate them (19 years after WW2) instead of just winning.
Didn't go to Argentina in 1978 (where they again lost to the home team) because his family had been held hostage at gunpoint a few months before and he didn't want to leave them alone.

Just seen highlights of Brazil v Holland in the 1974 WC.
Bloody hell some of those tackles flying in. Brazil weredirty as hell, the Dutch not much better.
